Arizona Can Wait

oil on 18x14 canvas I like the clean look on the bottom in contrast with the top sort of empty/sketchy look.
Let me explain the title of this painting. When I was starting it I was at class at Southeast Community College. I was telling the teacher about how I could have been in Arizona to be with my sisters but instead I was at the class; and how really unheard of that was! And she said, "Arizona can wait." That immediately became the name of the piece. Thinking, too, of southwestern hews and the shadows cast by structures built to bring shade in the heat of Arizona I thought there were a variety of reasons why that title was good for this piece.
