Ballerina

acrylic on 4'x4' canvas. Look close and you can see my grandson Weston in the shadows on the porch.

My plan was to put this in the June show at Pleasant View Art Gallery, where I show my paintings in Lincoln, NE; but I got cold feet at the last minute. What's wrong with this painting? I like it till I get up to the arm and head. It seems awkward to me and I can't get back to the parts I like.

  1. consider this... the arm is too strong for the soft face and flowing dressss... u have over worked it... let it go; just a wisp of gracefullness there. and in the shoulder and back shoulder blades let them drift into lifting the chest to fly
