When I painted this image the first time I was thinking about life and the seeming solitude one lives and a butterfly appeared unexpectedly in the first one, bringing delight and symbolizing constant companionship with our heavenly Father. This painting continues joyfully in that direction, though the title "House Divided" brings a new dimension to joyful solitude.
